How logo resizing works
Upload your logo, pick a suggested size such as a 250×80 px website header or a 48×48 px favicon — or type exact custom dimensions. The aspect-ratio lock keeps proportions intact, Contain mode fits the whole logo without cropping, and the live preview shows the exact output before you download.
Formats and transparency
- • PNG — Lossless with full transparency. Best default for logos.
- • JPG — Smaller files with adjustable quality. No transparency — pick a background color.
- • WebP — Modern format, roughly 30% smaller than JPG at similar quality, keeps transparency.
- • SVG — Accepted as input, sanitized for safety, and rasterized for export. You can also download the sanitized original vector.
More image tools
- • Image Compressor — shrink the resized logo to a target file size.
- • Image to WebP Converter — convert photos and graphics to WebP.
- • JPG to PNG Converter — lossless conversion for editing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will resizing reduce my logo quality?
Reducing dimensions keeps edges crisp because pixels are merged, not invented. Enlarging a small raster logo can soften edges — start from the largest original you have. PNG export is lossless; JPEG and WebP use the quality setting you choose.
How do I keep the transparent background?
Choose PNG or WebP output with the Transparent background option. JPEG has no transparency — transparent areas become white, and the tool tells you when that happens.
What size should my website logo be?
Common header sizes are 250×80 px (standard), 160×50 px (compact), and 400×120 px (large). Favicons are 48×48 px and app icons 192×192 px. These are suggestions, not rules — match your theme and test on mobile.
Can I resize an SVG logo?
Yes. SVGs are sanitized (scripts, event handlers and external references removed) and rendered safely — rasterization cannot execute embedded code. You can export PNG, JPG or WebP at any size, or download the sanitized original vector. Resizing does not create a new vector file.
Will the tool distort or crop my logo?
Not by default. Contain mode fits the whole logo inside your dimensions without cropping or distortion. Cover fills the canvas and clearly warns what percentage gets cropped. Stretch is only applied when you explicitly select it.
Is my logo uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens directly in your browser using the Canvas API. Your logo is never uploaded, stored, or seen by anyone.
